Relic, by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
Pretty much a by-the-numbers monster mystery, much of it fairly unbelievable. Comparisons all over this book jacket to Jurassic Park are laughable; this doesn’t even approach the quality of Crichton’s writing. Still, it wasn’t a terrible book. Entertaining enough for light reading.
